Accident/Injuries/Medical problems
- If during a class an injury occurs, class must stop and HOA Security must be called to take an accident report. If the injured person cannot get up on their own, use emergency phone on the wall to call E-911. That person must not be moved. All members and instructors are educated about procedures to follow per the club’s Accident/Injury Policy. If a medical challenge prevents a member from attending classes, but she/he wishes to stay involved in TNT, there are opportunities to assist at the check-in desk or at a luncheon. If members medical limitations impact their safety and the safety of others, reasonable accommodations will be made to reduce the risk.
- Members are always welcome to participate in social events.
- Classes & Instructors
• Trim n Tone classes are taught by licensed fitness instructors who also are CPR-certified.
• Instructors are responsible for finding their own subs from the club’s approved list of subs.
• Classes include various combinations of aerobic exercise to music, weights, bands, and mat work.
• Classes are held six days a week. MWF and Saturday classes start at 8 am. Tuesday and Thursday classes are held, at 7 am, 8 am and 4 pm. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday classes include an optional 30 minutes for floor and mat work.
• Members may attend the 30-min floor work must sign in, even if they do not attend the aerobic portion of the class.
. - Membership/Dues
• Annual Dues are $40 and due in January every year.
• Prospective members may attend the first class at no charge and will be given a new member form to complete. New members will be added to the roster once the membership form and annual dues are submitted.
• Payment for classes is separate from annual dues and is $35 a month for unlimited classes or $7 per class.
• Rental residents here for one month pay $35 for unlimited classes that month. No annual dues are required, unless leasing for more than one month.
• Members can bring a guest to Trim & Tone at a charge of $10 per class.
• General membership meetings are held at least twice a year, usually in conjunction with a club luncheon. - Member Responsibilities
• Check in for each class on time.
• Once the doors are closed and the music starts, latecomers cannot enter for safety reasons. The only exceptions are those working at the sign-in table.
• Report any issues/concerns to the Board Member at Large.
• Make sure your email address is current with the vice president.
• Silence your cell phone during class. If you need to talk on the phone, please step away or go outside.
• For your personal safety and to get the most out of class, athletic shoes are required. - Social Events Social events are open to all members, and include luncheons, t-shirt paint parties, Volunteer Appreciation reception, and Coffee And…
• Coffee And…is held Monday, Wednesday or Friday at the end of the month, usually at Ventana in Mt. View Clubhouse. Members may enjoy free coffee and refreshments. Birthdays for the month are celebrated at these coffees and information about club activities is shared.
• Several catered luncheons are held during the season, October-May. Fees are charged for the luncheons to cover costs and members must sign-up in advance. When space allows, guests may attend for additional cost. - For these events, TNT adheres to the Service Animal Policy adopted by Sun City Palm Desert.
